Sleep & Play

Before Mommy and Daddy invest in a big girl bed for me, they decided to take the advice of friends and put my mattress on the floor for a few nights. That way they can see if I would stay on it or get off and play. Anyone want to place a bet now on how that night went? Let's just say I would like to thank whoever suggested it to Mommy because I had so much fun!! :o)

Here is a little picture summary of the experiment...keep in mind that although it looks bright in my room, that's just the flash from the camera. It was actually completely dark, with the exception of a little night light.

8:00 pm, my bedtime on the weekends.

8:06 pm. Not quite sure why I'm not IN the crib!

8:07 pm. Daddy trying to put me back to sleep.

8:15 pm. Working out with my punching bag.

8:16 pm. Daddy tries again to convince me that the bed is a fun place to stay.

8:25 pm. Just standing around in the dark!

8:30 pm. Ah! They gave up and finally I can get some rest!

Playalinda, Here I Come!

Mommy usually gets my diaper and pajamas ready before I take a bath, that way when I get out she has everything she needs. Well, we had a long day between work, school, and the doctor's office (just a check-up), so Mommy put me in the bath as soon as we got home. Afterwards, she laid me on the floor in my bedroom, all wrapped up in my snuggly towel so I could stay warm, while she went to the closet to get my things. When she turned around, this is what she saw...

Me and my cute tush on my Sit & Spin! As Rianne would say..."Nakey nakey!!!"

Practice Makes Perfect

A picture is worth a thousand words, and this one clearly explains how the pillow practice is coming along...but I'll keep trying!

Pillow Fight

Mommy and Daddy have been talking about getting me a big girl bed. I really don't know what they're thinking, but it does sound like fun to me! So Sunday night, Mommy said I had to start practicing sleeping with a pillow. I still don't use one, because I've been in a crib all these years. Mommy has tried a couple of times before, and when she comes in to check on me after I've fallen asleep, I've scooted completely away from the pillow so I can sleep flat on the bed.
Not this time though! I thought it was soooo funny that there was a pillow in my bed, that I laughed and laughed until Mommy finally took it away so I would go to sleep. It was two hours past my bedtime, and I was still having fun! I stayed up so late that I wouldn't wake up for school yesterday, so Mommy had to let me sleep in to catch up on my rest. A funny pillow and a day of hooky?! Sounds like a deal!

Three Years in Training

I finally figured out what this silly giraffe toy was for! Mommy and Daddy gave it to me for my very first birthday. It came with five see-through blocks, which I love to blow bubbles on, but I never could figure out what the giraffe was for. All these years Mommy has been showing me over and over that if I put a block in the top, it tumbles down and comes out the bottom. Really, I always thought to myself, what is the point of that? Why would I give up the block for a few seconds just to watch it fall?

Early yesterday morning before school, Mommy tried to show me for the 500th time in three years how to do it. And this time, I decided it might be fun. So I took the block and I did it!! Two times in a row! But I stopped, because Mommy was clapping and cheering each time, and I really didn't think all that fuss was necessary. Then this morning, Mommy put the giraffe and block in front of me, but she didn't do anything with them. She watched to see if I could figure it out on my own. So this time, I showed HER how it works! And you know what? It actually WAS kind of fun!

Now if I can only figure out what the block does while its in there...

No News

Nothing special happening here! I am back at school now after Spring Break. I have been happy getting back to my routine!

And yes, Mommy is still sick!
