Happy Easter!

Mommy, Daddy, and Papa took me to see the Easter Bunny last Wednesday. I got all dressed up and sat quietly while Mommy did my hair. When we got to the mall, there were a lot of people in line with their dogs. We asked the photographer what was going on, and he told Daddy it was pet night only. No kids. Mommy said, "Are you kidding me?" And the man looked very unsympathetic (he must not have kids) and said, "We did it last Wednesday too!" Okay, sure, and how was Mommy supposed to know that? Like Papa always says, I guess her crystal ball wasn't working that day! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I mean, the Easter Bunny is there for the kids, right?

So we had to come back AGAIN the next day. I stared a lot while I was in line for the pictures, so of course by the time it was my turn, I was no longer interested in the Easter Bunny! Good thing Mommy takes her own pictures, so it didn't cost us any money!

We dyed Easter eggs on Saturday, and I did not enjoy that. I was afraid Mommy was going to make me drink the funny-colored water. So I would not let the cup anywhere near me, and she had to make the special "PAPA" egg without me. On Sunday, the Easter bunny hid my basket behind the curtains. Those are my favorite curtains to play behind, so I found it right away. But right when I found it, my papa got to my house. And I was really more interested in playing with him right then!

Then came Rianne and her parents, Grandma, and Aunt Jessie. Aunt Jessie brought me a huge dragonfly balloon! But there were too many people for me, so I kept escaping to a quiet spot. I was happy to see my cousin Rianne though, and Mommy and Aunt Tracie thought it was funny that we both wound up with polka dot Easter dresses. We didn't even plan it!

Now today I am home from school with a little fever. But I am resting (and playing) and should be better soon!
